Two brothers, João and Jorge, with origins, heritage and passion for Douro Valley, retired from previous jobs and looking for new adventures, developed the idea to create a tourism company in this unique and outstanding region.
Our roots and philosophy are based on the ethos: “Experience the authentic soul of the Douro”, by the contact with scenic landscapes and local gastronomy.
Timeless Douro is the motto, and the objective is to promote tailor-made journeys, that allows one to experience different eras. Going through geological wonders, prehistoric world heritage sites, Roman influences, historic castles that date back to the birth of Portugal in the 12th century, middle ages and until present day.
Although Douro is the oldest registered and regulated known wine area in the world, we aim to share Douro in a broader sense, feeling and experiencing the old and alive local culture, where we taste the fortified Port wine with small producers.
To ensure an authentic journey we take care of our customers, with specific partners and cater to small groups who want to serenely travel through the heart of Douro.
Promote local sustainable economic activities, connecting people, nature and history.
Align our policies with the United Nations Sustainable Development initiatives reflecting also the Unesco World Heritage of Douro.
Sightseeing by car, boat or train, hiking, aerial experiences, bird watching, as well as roaming distinctive landscapes. Other options include off road drives, “river lakes” fishing, visit art centers of all times, traditional handmade experiences and festivities…all done at the customers pace in respect for nature.
We operate “off peak” periods in Spring and Automn, when the weather is moderate and the ambiance is peaceful.
